Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson, an American singer-songwriter director and producer also writes. Most famously, she is known for her character Tara Maclay on the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and she has also produced and performed in her own films Chance as well as Lovers Liars & Lunatics. She also appeared in the film Kiss the Bride. Benson, born to a psychiatrist and the wife of Diane Benson was born in Birmingham Alabama on January 8, 1977. Danielle is her elder sister and an artist. Benson was born to a father who is Jewish and her mother a Southern Baptist was raised in an Alabama Reform synagogue. Benson, who has been in numerous movies and TV series since Buffy was over, most notably The Killing Jar. Behind the camera, she put her writing skills to work on her Ghosts of Albion series and directed on projects like 2010's Drones. Buffy states that she's discovered and counted over 1800 Slayers with 500 who work with members of the Scooby Gang. Slayer potentials are now awoken when they have reached the proper maturation. For example, Soledad became a Slayer on her 16th birthday. Ruth Connell will play Rowena in Supernatural Season 10. According to reports, she's an old-school mysterious witch.
