Julia Fiona Roberts' parents are Walter Grady Roberts and Betty Lou Bredemus. Her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts, a farmer, was one of the first Roberts to settle in Atlanta. Early on, her father became interested in theater. As a college students studying at Emory University from 1952 to 1954, he took part in numerous performances.
